Jose and Renate.
Jose and Renate have worked to help children and families in need in very poor communities in Costa Rica. Our work focuses on rescuing hurting children and offer a message of love and hope that encourages them to stay in school and away from gangs and other destructive or criminal behaviors so common in inner-city environments.

It has been said that it is easier to build strong children than repair broken adults. We believe In order to see a better world out of crime, drugs, teenage pregnancy, and violence we need to begin with investing in the children.

Child sponsorship is critical.
In Costa Rica, many children live on less than $2 per day. Child sponsorship, connecting one child with one sponsor, is the most strategic way to help them in their condition of poverty. Through a Kid's programs, a relationship with a local church, and a caring sponsor, a child is able to discover his or her true value.

ABOUT OUR
MINISTRY.
is a faith-based, humanitarian organization dedicated to serving inner-city children throughout San Jose and various communities around Costa Rica through outreach and mission trips.
Metro serves over 150 children and 30 teenagers every week with special programs and personal home visits.
Metro Ministries Costa Rica was started by Scott and Sandra Hanrahan in 2007 and was then registered as a non profit organization a few years later by Jose and Renate Gonzalez Fast
Testimony. I loved getting to visit and work with Metro this past year, these people love the Lord and His children. The impact that they have on these kids' lives is truly incredible. Bringing the joy to these children in often hopeless situations is amazing to witness, and loving and nurturing these children the way the Father would is José and Renate's calling.
